The goal of this project was to highlight the process, ideas, and artistic vision behind Andrew Jensdotter’s paintings and sculptures. To bring that vision to life, b-roll was captured in the artist’s studio, focusing on his distinctive, layered painting technique. This material was paired with still photographs of finished works exhibited in museums and galleries.
The narrative was shaped through two in-depth interviews—one with Andrew Jensdotter and the other with Nora Burnett Abrams, Director of the Museum of Contemporary Art Denver. Together, the footage and interviews form a thoughtful portrait of an artist pushing the boundaries of contemporary painting.

K Contemporary also asked for a teaser, for use on social media, to drive traffic to the their website and YouTube channel. In response I created this single shot video that shows a part of Andrew Jensdotter’s art making process.
